Internal Linking

What is Internal Linking?

When it comes to linking, hyperlinks can be either external or internal. The external links are those that lead to content on a different website. Internal linking, on the other hand, refers to putting a hyperlink that leads to a page or a resource (a text file, image, video, etc.) on the same website. The main purpose of internal linking is to enable the visitors to navigate from one resource on the site to another. Apart from the fact that it improves the navigation of the website, internal linking also helps search engines to do a better job with crawling the website.
